Carlo Ancelotti took charge of Bayern Munich in 2016 following Pep Guardiola’s move to Manchester City.

Despite winning the Bundesliga and DFL Supercup in his first season, the 58-year-old’s position is uncertain and he has come under pressure this term.

His current deal at the Allianz Arena runs until June 2019, however ESPN claim Bayern have an early-termination clause.

And should they choose to activate it, Ancelotti would reportedly seek a job in the Premier League for next season.

The report says Bayern’s exit in the Champions League quarter-finals and failure to reach the German Cup final put pressure on his position.

And Hoffenheim’s highly-rated, young manager Julian Nagelsmann has been mooted as his potential successor.

And the 30-year-old fuelled speculation of a move to Bayern this week when he claimed the club were “in his dreams”.

ESPN claim Ancelotti is currently happy with the Bavarian club, but should they part company in the summer, he will look for work in England.

And Arsenal is reportedly a potential avenue back to the Premier League for the former Chelsea boss.

Arsene Wenger agreed a new deal this summer but has already come under fire this season and might not see out the two years.

Ancelotti’s previous two-year spell in the Premier League with Chelsea was largely successful.

He won the 2009/10 league title and FA Cup, as well as the Community shield before getting in the sack in 2011.
