COLOGNE fans were making Nazi salutes and peeing in doorways at Arsenal.

Fans knock over barriers outside FC Koln Vs Arsenal game

That is according to ITV's Robert Peston, who has branded Cologne's fans 'disgraceful'.

Arsenal's Europa League clash with the Bundesliga side was delayed by a whole hour due to over 20,000 Cologne fans turning up to the Emirates.

The Gunners only gave Cologne a 2,900 ticket allocation for their clash, but fans apparently purchased more tickets from touts to get into the game.

Many of the German side's fans were mixed into the home end with fans supposedly selling their match-day tickets.

But despite Cologne's fans coming to north London in the droves to support their team, it spiralled out of control with their behaviour taking a turn for the worse.

These Cologne fans are a disgrace. Nazi salutes. Peeing in doorsteps. My European solidarity is being tested

Newsreader Peston tweeted: “These Cologne fans are a disgrace. Nazi salutes. Peeing in doorsteps. My European solidarity is being tested.”

This was the first time Cologne had had a taste for European football in 25 years.

And they got off to a flyer with Jhon Cordoba scoring a stunning goal from 45 yards out to give his side the lead.

However, this was short lived with Sead Kolasinac, Alexis Sanchez and Hector Bellerin overturning the deficit to win the game 3-1.

Arsenal resume their Europa League campaign against Bate Borisov on September 28 (6:00pm).

But up next for the Gunners is a return to the Premier League where they will take on Chelsea on Sunday (1:30pm).
