Gus Poyet predicts win for Chelsea when they host Arsenal

Chelsea host Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Sunday (1:30pm) looking to make it four straight Premier League wins.

The Blues had a disappointing start to the season - having lost to Arsenal in the Community Shield and then to Burnley in their opening league game - but have beaten Tottenham, Everton and Leicester since.

And former Chelsea midfielder believes Antonio Conte’s side can take advantage of Arsenal’s issues this season.

The Gunners have struggled for form and have taken just six points from their opening four games, losing two of them.

Chelsea sit stronger, Arsenal have too many issues

Poyet told talkSPORT: “I agree (Chelsea will win), of course after Chelsea with Burley, it’s difficult to arrive at this situation.

“But overall Chelsea sit stronger. Arsenal have too many issues, too many problems. The fans aren’t happy.

“Everything is coming to a point where it’s difficult for the team to perform.

“It’s a great time for Chelsea to play Arsenal and prove themselves are capable of winning the Premier League.”

Chelsea will get an extra two days to recover for Sunday’s match.

The Blues beat Qarabag 6-0 on Tuesday in their Champions League opener, while Arsenal defeated Cologne 3-1 in their Europa League clash last night.
