MANCHESTER UNITED midfielder Marouane Fellaini will cause problems for his former club Everton on Sunday (3:30pm), says Paul Merson.

Manchester United will be without Paul Pogba for a number of weeks after he picked up a hamstring injury in the Champions League win over Basel in midweek.

The French midfielder has been one of United’s star players so far this season, scoring two goals and providing two assists in his four Premier League outings.

But Merson reckons Fellaini will come in for Pogba and play a key part in a routine win for Jose Mourinho’s side.

United sit undefeated at the top of the Premier League table after four games, while Everton languish in 16th after just one win.

I don't see anything other than a comfortable Manchester United win

Merson told Sky Sports: “Everton have disappointed me this season.

“They have signed all these players but last week they got ripped apart by Tottenham and they weren't much better at Stamford Bridge before that.

“I don't see anything other than a comfortable Manchester United win.

“Paul Pogba has been playing well and will be a miss, although not in this game.

“Marouane Fellaini will come in and will probably cause Everton problems. They will be alright for this game without Pogba.”

United will have two more days to recover for the Old Trafford meeting.

The Red Devils played Basel on Tuesday night, while Everton lost 3-0 away to Atalanta in their Europa League opener last night.
