Saul and Nainggolan scouted

13:30: Manchester United sent scouts to watch Radja Nainggolan and Saul Niguez in midweek.

Both players turned out in Roma's goalless draw with Atletico Madrid.

And the Daily Star claim United ran the rule over both players.

Jose Mourinho is looking for a replacement for Michael Carrick, who is likely to retire at the end of the season.

Mane on the move?

10.45: Liverpool face a battle to keep Sadio Mane with clubs in Europe taking notice of his flying start to the season.

Mane, sent off last week, has impressed since joining the Anfield side.

The 25-year-old has already scored three times this season in four games.

And he was missed during the draw with Burnley yesterday.

The Mirror report that Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus are all interested and are weighing up future moves.

Madrid open Sanchez talks

10.30: Real Madrid have opened talks over a sensational move for Alexis Sanchez, according to reports in Spain.

Sanchez is out of contract in the summer and will leave Arsenal on a free.

Manchester City are expected to sign him after having a bid accepted on deadline day only for the deal to fall through after Arsenal failed to sign Thomas Lemar.

But Real Madrid are now in the hunt, according to Don Balon.

Florentino Perez wants to overhaul his forward line and a free transfer for Sanchez would add some spark.

Butland happy with rumours

10.15: Jack Butland has welcomed speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United.

The Stoke goalkeeper has reportedly been lined up as a replacement for David de Gea with him possibly heading to Real Madrid.

And Butland admits the links show he’s playing well.

“I guess I hope the speculation keeps coming as that means I’m playing well but none of that of matters anyway as we’re in the season,” he told the Daily Mail.

“I’m happy where I am and just doing what I can do for Stoke. Whatever happens in the future is a long way away and it’s not part of my thought process right now.

“Hopefully I just keep doing well but it’s always nice to be linked with clubs.”
