The 16-year-old Genoa striker burst onto the scene last season and scored a double against Lazio last week.

The Italy youth international is being touted around Europe already and is said to be generating interest from Chelsea and Manchester United while Juventus and AC Milan are also keen, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

He made his Serie A debut ages 15 and 280 days, equalling the record for youngest debutant.

He became the first player born in 2001 to score in the league - against Roma in May before bagging his double against Lazio.

His performance reduced his father, and Genoa’s assistant manager, to tears during the game while on the bench.

"For me and my dad it is an important evening, I realised a dream that I had since I was little," Pellegri said at the end of the game.

"My Dad has followed me in football since childhood and it's nice he has been thrilled for me. Since I started playing he's always been following me in training in the cold and in the rain."

Genoa head coach Ivan Juric said he was pleased for his 'friend' Marco Pellegri and his son.

“We're working a lot with Pellegri, he played like a real centre-forward tonight. It's a great story, his father is my very close friend and now his son is doing so well in this team," said Juric.

But he could be on the move if today’s reports are correct with Europe’s top clubs already taking notice.

The 6ft 4” striker previously revealed Zlatan Ibrahimovic was his hero and may be keen to team up with him at Manchester United.
