Man Utd News: Anthony Martial makes the Red Devils better and does not sulk - Dion Dublin

MANCHESTER UNITED are a better team with Anthony Martial in their ranks, according to former Red Devil Dion Dublin.

Anthony Martial destroys Real Madrid defence with superb run

Martial struggled for Manchester United last season, failing to prove his worth and falling out of favour with Jose Mourinho.

However, the France international has enjoyed a stunning start to the new campaign, finding the net against West Ham, Swansea and Everton.

A popular figure among the Manchester United fanbase, many want Martial to continue his fine form and break into Mourinho’s starting line-up for good.

And Dublin thinks the 21-year-old makes the Red Devils a far more formidable team and has praised the Frenchman for not sulking given his struggle for form last season.

“I don’t know whether he’s going to force his way in or whether he’s going to continue to play that role [as super sub],” Dublin said.

“I think either way he will be effective.

“I don’t think he’s the kind of player that sulks. I think he’s the kind of player that gets on with things, so it’s down to Mr Mourinho.

“At the moment he’s got it spot on, so if Martial can stay strong, stay focused, and stay a team player, United will be a better team.”

Martial’s rejuvenation has coincided with United enjoying their best start to a new Premier League season in six years.

And he could start tonight when Mourinho’s men host Championship side Burton Albion at Old Trafford in the Carabao Cup.

United are aiming to retain the competition after their 3-2 victory over Southampton in the final last term.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was the hero at Wembley that day, scoring a last-gasp header after the Saints had overcame a two-goal deficit.
