ARSENAL boss Arsene Wenger has been accused of tapping up Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling by talkSPORT presenter Alan Brazil.

Ray Parlour slams proposed Sterling and Sanchez deal

Brazil was discussing the potential of Sterling switching Manchester City for Arsenal in the January transfer window.

Reports claimed this morning the Gunners were considering offering Alexis Sanchez and money for the former Liverpool man.

Sanchez, who is out of contract at the end of the season, nearly joined City on the summer transfer deadline day.

But Arsenal’s failure to sign a replacement, Thomas Lemar from Monaco, put a stop to the deal.

Arsenal were keen on the Sanchez plus-cash deal for Sterling on that day but City did not want to sell the 22-year-old.

Now the rumours have resurfaced and Brazil is unhappy they are coming out outside of the transfer window.

“Is that not tapping up?” the former Scotland striker said on talkSPORT of the Arsenal boss.

“The window’s shut now so we shouldn’t be talking about this until January, should we?

“And Arsene Wenger’s always whinging about tapping up. 

“You know it’s illegal, it’s a joke. You should just get on with it. 

“If you’re Sterling, how do you feel if you’re Raheem Sterling?”

Sterling has scored three goals in six games for Pep Guardiola's so far this season.
