Tottenham News: Harry Kane is worth £100m like the best in the world - Mark Noble

MARK NOBLE believes Harry Kane is a £100million player, right up there with Kylian Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele, Paul Pogba and Gareth Bale among world football’s elite.

The Tottenham striker is on yet another one of those golden streaks. After a traditionally slow August, he has hit eight goals in his last six games for England and Spurs.

This week, the 24-year-old was included in the FIFA/Fifpro list of the world’s top 55 players – the only Englishman – with the best goals for games ratio of any player in Europe’s top leagues in 2017.

His name is alongside Lionel Messi, Neymar, Antoine Griezmann, Cristiano Ronaldo and Robert Lewandowski.

Only Alan Shearer has reached 80 Premier League goals quicker, with Kane scoring 105 in 172 appearances. He has won the Premier League’s Golden Boot award for the last two years. And he is off and running again this season.

Noble witnessed at first hand on Saturday exactly what Kane is all about, as two clinical strikes before half-time at the London Stadium put this game out of West Ham’s reach. He then hit a post with a free-kick to set up Tottenham’s third, scored by Christian Eriksen, before a gallant fightback and late goals from Javier Hernandez and Cheikhou Kouyate, after Serge Aurier had been sent off, served up a nervy finish.

Noble, like Kane a boy who came through the ranks at his club, has no doubt about his value to Spurs and how much his club and fans should cherish the striker. The Hammers skipper said: “What is Harry worth? It has got to easily be £100m plus because he gets goals and goals in this game are hard to come by.”

Defeat will again bring speculation about the future of West Ham boss Slaven Bilic but he said: “It’s part of my job. Once that door is opened, then it basically doesn’t stop. Game by game, or two games by two games, it’s the way it is.”
