Alexandre Lacazette: Arsenal legend Thierry Henry explains striker's slow start

ARSENAL summer-signing Alexandre Lacazette is still working out how to play away from home, just like his team!

That is according to Arsenal’s all-time leading goalscorer and Sky Sports pundit Thierry Henry.

Lacazette joined the Gunners from Lyon for a club-record fee of £46.5million in July.

He has scored four goals in his first six Premier League games, all of them coming at home, including both goals in the 2-0 win over West Brom tonight.

Arsenal have picked up just one point on the road so far this campaign and Henry says Lacazette and his former side need to improve outside north London.

“He’s getting used to playing away from home,” Henry said.

Maybe Alexandre Lacazette is not quite there yet when Arsenal play away from home

“That’s his little thing at the minute where maybe he’s not quite there yet when they play away from home, like the team by the way.

“But at home he’s been pretty good.”

Alexis Sanchez made his first home start in the Premier League against West Brom following speculation over his future in the summer.

Henry says Arsenal fans should expect the Chile star to be at his best despite wanting to leave the club.

“(They should expect) what he always has done,” Henry added.

Arsenal news: Alexis Sanchez will play at his best this season, says Henry

“Play, play hard. We were talking about (Philippe) Coutinho the other day, he wanted to leave, he came back, move on.

“He’s at your club, he’s here, yes he wanted to leave, we all know it, but we know he’s going to play hard.

“The other day I was at the game against Doncaster, he played hard. He played like he always plays, let’s move on.

“Let’s get behind the man, enjoy him, he’s still in our league.”
