Mourinho was furious with his side after their 3-0 win over Basel in their opening Champions League group game earlier this month, criticising his players for relaxing and playing a style of football that annoyed him.
United were comfortable from start to finish away to CSKA Moscow tonight, thrashing their Russian opponents 4-1.
Romeu Lukaku, who has been in terrific form since joining from Everton over the summer, hit a double.
Anthony Martial and Henrikh Mkhitaryan were also on target as United maintained their unbeaten start in Group A.

And while stopping from suggesting it was the perfect display, Mourinho was pleased to see United abandon their ‘Playstation football’.
“We are almost there,” Mourinho said.
“There was not so much PlayStation football tonight, just a little bit of relaxation. That is normal."
In discussing his overall thoughts on the display, Mourinho added: “We started so strong, we surprised them with out attitude.
