ARSENAL boss Arsene Wenger says he prays Jack Wilshere doesn't get injured again after a classy display in the 4-2 win over BATE Borisov.

Adrian Clarke: Wilshere criticism is unfair

Wilshere pulled the strings for Arsenal's attack during the match and grabbed his first assist of the season when Walcott headed in his cross to open the scoring.

The 25-year-old's career has been disrupted by injury but he appears to be growing in confidence after a difficult few years.

Speaking after the match, Wenger hailed Wilshere's performance and expressed his hope that the midfielder can fulfil his potential.

Wenger said: “He had an outstanding first half and he fought until the end.
