Chelsea news: Antonio Conte can win title despite Arsenal and Man City results - Wilkins

CHELSEA are still in with a shout of winning back-to-back Premier League titles despite their 1-0 loss to Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Former Chelsea player Ray Wilkins: They can still win the title

That is the view of former Chelsea midfielder and coach Ray Wilkins.

A stunning goal from Kevin De Bruyne was enough to see off Antonio Conte’s side at the weekend.

Chelsea are now six points off City and Manchester United at the top of the table after seven games this term.

They have also dropped points at home to Burnley and Arsenal this season.

However, Blues fan Wilkins says Chelsea's away form last term shows they can turn it around under their Italian boss.

“It’s one result,” Wilkins said on talkSPORT of the loss to City.

“They drew 0-0 with Arsenal and weren’t very good. Arsenal were better than us on that day.

“We’ve lost against Burnley obviously, we’ve lost again on Saturday.

“But then, we’ve got to play the rest of them again, all away from home.

“You know what Chelsea did to Manchester City last year away from home, they played a fantastic game against them.

“Therefore they’ve got to be in with a chance (of the title).

“The Champions League this year has also kept into their little diaries. It’s not easy to go on all fronts.”
