Mesut Ozil discussion

04:30: Manchester United were reportedly brought up in discussions between advisors of Mesut Ozil and Arsenal in the most recent talks over his future.

The Gunners playmaker, who is out of contract next summer, has yet to sign a new deal.

Reports have credited Inter Milan with a strong interest in the German.

The Daily Mirror add Ozil’s advisors used Arsenal’s rivals United as an example of English clubs paying big money in the last round of negotiations.

It was also suggested Ozil might be willing to carry on in the Premier League.

Jose Mourinho edge

04:00: Manchester United have the edge over Manchester City in the title race, because of Jose Mourinho’s adaptability.

Those are the thoughts of Hull star Ryan Mason.

He thinks United might shade it in the title race.

“I have seen how Mourinho can adapt his style,” Mason told Sky Sports’ The Debate.

“He can set up for games in completely different ways - he can sit back and play attacking football.

“He can press teams, get after them, go a goal up and keep it tight.”
