Harry Kane is back to his goalscoring best after a difficult August in which he failed to find the back of the net for Tottenham.

The Spurs frontman has filled his boots in September, scoring 11 goals in all competitions and heads into the international break with England in stunning form.

There has been calls for Gareth Southgate to reward Harry Kane with the captaincy for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Slovenia and Lithuania.

And former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan thinks it will not be long before Kane begins looking for a move to the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid.

“I’m not trying to be disrespectful to Tottenham,” Jordan told talkSPORT.

“But if Manchester United come calling for Harry Kane, or Real Madrid – with an ageing forward line - come calling [it will be hard to resist].

“I think in a year’s time it will be very difficult for Harry Kane, at his peak, with Tottenham potentially not winning the Premier League and maybe struggling to even get into the Champions League, to resist the opportunity to move along.”

Sky Sports pundit Don Goodman also thinks Kane could need a big summer move in order to fulfil his potential as a world-class striker.

“He’s got every single attribute for a top striker that you could possibly wish for,” Goodman said.

“Is he in the right team? Would he win more honours with a different club? That’s probably for the future.

“But if he’s not world class already then he’s certainly well on his way to becoming that and you’d like to see him do that at the very highest level.”
