Lucas Moura has struggled for game time at PSG this term

The midfielder has found himself on the periphery of things with the French giants, managing just two starts in Ligue 1.

With the arrival of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in the summer, he has had to settle for cameo roles.

The Brazil international has been a long-standing target for the Gunners and he is now deemed surplus to requirements at the Parc des Princes.

Reports last month suggested Arsenal wouldin the event Mesut Ozil or Alexis Sanchez should leave in January.

And Alex, who once played for Chelsea, thinks the stylish, technical football adopted by the Gunners under Arsene Wenger would make a move suitable.

“If I was in his place, I would have already left to make an impact elsewhere,” Alex told French paper L’Equipe.

"Spanish football could suit him – he could take advantage of the space with his speed and technique.
