Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions qualify for next summer’s tournament in Russia as Group F leaders and remain unbeaten in the group stages.

Theo not a Toffee - Hislop

20.15: Arsenal star Theo Walcott should leave the Emirates but he won’t be moving to Everton, according to pundit Shaka Hislop.

Hislop is not a fan of Walcott and even though Everton are in need of pace up front, he cannot see the move happening.

"Everton may need a player of that quality, a player with that pace and that experience," the former goalkeeper said on ESPN FC.

“But I started off by saying I’m not a huge fan of Theo Walcott.

“I’m going to stick with that and put that down as a miss.”

Lacazette in goal?

18:12: Could Arsenal have signed Alexandre Lacazette as a goalkeeper?

Lacazette has revealed the reason for why he stopped playing as a goalkeeper as a youngster.

He admitted if it were not for the worries of his mother he could have been keeping the ball out of the goal rather than putting it in the net.

He said: “I did like playing in goal when I was young but my mum wasn’t very keen as she thought being a goalie was too dangerous.”

"She said that I either played as a forward or not at all. Sometimes I was embarrassed for the opposition if there was a huge goal difference between the two teams but that didn't happen all the time."

Liverpool wouldn't want Ozil - Robson

17:00: Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp would not want to sign Arsenal star Mesut Ozil, according to Stewart Robson.

The Germany international is out of contract at the end of the season and has shown no intention of signing an extension at the Emirates.

“Would Klopp have him in his side?” Robson said on ESPN FC of Ozil.

“Would Klopp want him? No. Klopp wouldn’t want him.”

Ancelotti shouldn’t replace Wenger

16:00: Arsenal would be wrong to replace manager Arsene Wenger with Carlo Ancelotti, according to former Gunner Stewart Robson.

Robson says Ancelotti would not be the right man to rebuild Arsenal, who have not won the Premier League since 2004.

“Ancelotti? No,” he said on ESPN FC.

“I think someone needs to go into Arsenal that’s going to kick their backsides.

“Ancelotti would not be the right fit. Not the right fit for Arsenal.”

Sanchez back in training

15:00: Alexis Sanchez took part in training with Chile today after a minor injury had prevented him earlier in the week.

The Arsenal ace played 90 minutes against Brighton on Sunday and reported for international duty with a knock which kept him from training on Tuesday.

But, according to South American publication La Tercera, he has trained as usual today.

Chile face Ecuador in the early hours of tomorrow morning and then Brazil on October 11 as they try and keep their World Cup hopes alive.

Chile are sixth in the South American qualifying with two games to play.

They are only four points behind Uruguay in second place so three points against Ecuador would be massive ahead of the Brazil game.

Only the top four teams are guaranteed a place in Russia next summer with the fifth team facing a play off against New Zealand after they won the Oceanic section.

Henry lauds Martial

10.15: Thierry Henry has claimed Manchester United star Anthony Martial is a much better player than he was at 21.

The pair had both started their careers with Monaco before kicking on in the Premier League but Henry thinks Martial has more potential.

“Anthony Martial is a far better player than I was at that age,” Henry said while away on international coaching duty with Belgium.

“Martial can be world class."

Inter favourites for Ozil

09.10: Inter Milan are Mesut Ozil’s most likely destination as he continues to resist Arsenal’s latest contract offer.

Ozil, 28, is out of contract in the summer and looks set to quit the Emirates within the next 10 months.

Inter are weighing up a January move while Manchester United are believed to have an interest.

Ozil wants £350,000 a week according to the Evening Standard while Arsenal are prepared to improve his current £140,000 a week deal to around £250,000 a week.

And the impasse is likely to see Ozil now leave.

Inter are the favourites for his signature with United yet to make their interest clear.

Walcott to Inter

07.25: Inter Milan are considering a January swoop for Theo Walcott, according to reports in Italy.

Calciomercato claim the Serie A club will make a move if he fails to work his way back into the Arsene Wenger's plans.

The Italian publication also claims Walcott's arrival in Milan could lead to the exit of Antonio Candreva

The former Lazio midfielder has been a long-term target of Premier League champions Chelsea.

Ivan Gazidis bonus

06:00: Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis landed a £1million bonus, according to reports.

Although the Gunners missed out on Champions League football, Gazidis was still able to line his pockets.

The Daily Mail claim his salary is similar to the previous year’s.

An Arsenal spokesman said: “All wage costs including bonuses are decided by the board.”

Lucas Moura suggestion

05:30: Lucas Moura has been told by former Paris Saint-Germain centre-back Alex he should join Arsenal.

The Brazil international has been a long-standing target for the Gunners and he is now deemed surplus to requirements at the Parc des Princes.

Reports last month suggested Arsenal would resurrect their interest in Moura in the event Mesut Ozil or Alexis Sanchez should leave in January.

And Alex, who once played for Chelsea, thinks the stylish, technical football adopted by the Gunners under Arsene Wenger would make a move suitable.

"Even if England does not seem favourable, I would like to see him at Arsenal," Alex told French paper L'Equipe.

“They play cleaner football, more technical.”

Alexis Sanchez is on PSG's wanted list

Ozil, I think he’s downed tools, he wants to go and it’s going to get messy

Martin Keown

Alexis Sanchez to Paris Saint-Germain

05:00: Paris Saint-Germain could reportedly offload Edinson Cavani if it means signing Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez on a free next summer.

Sanchez, 28, will have just six months remaining on his current Arsenal contract when the winter window opens.

The Chile international has refused to sign fresh terms at the Emirates and will be free to talk to rival clubs in January.

He was on the verge of signing for Manchester City in the summer, but a move fell through at the last minute after Arsene Wenger failed to land a replacement in time.

French outlet Le Parisien claim PSG are ready to come back in for him and negotiate a pre-contract agreement with a view to signing him on a free transfer in the summer.

It is also said Sanchez's potential switch could lead to Edinson Cavani's departure.

Mesut Ozil claim

04:30: Mesut Ozil has already left Arsenal “mentally”, according to Martin Keown.

The midfielder has been on the periphery off things at the Emirates, and he was left out of Arsene Wenger’s starting line-up for the last two Premier League games against Brighton and West Brom respectively.

He reportedly angered his team-mates after his no show at a club media day last month.

And Keown thinks Ozil’s attitude could spell a messy departure.

“I think in some departments he’s already left. Psychologically, mentally, he’s already left the football club,” Keown told BBC Radio 5 live.

“Ozil, I think he’s downed tools, he wants to go and it’s going to get messy.”

Aaron Ramsey on Alexandre Lacazette

04:00: Aaron Ramsey reckons Alexandre Lacazette has already made a good impression at Arsenal both on and off the pitch.

The Frenchman has produced some clinical finishes and has shown promising signs that he can spearhead the front line alongside Alexis Sanchez.

Ramsey thinks Lacazette’s style of play makes him fit naturally at the club, and he also believes his humour off the pitch has made him a hit with his team-mates.

“I think he’s made a great start,” Ramsey told the club's official website.

“He’s very technically good, he’s very clean with his touches and his link up play and he’s a great finisher.”
