Liverpool news: Man Utd eye shock Emre Can move to replace Michael Carrick & Ander Herrera

MANCHESTER UNITED are reportedly eyeing a move for Emre Can with their chief scout Javier Ribalta taking a look at the Liverpool midfielder.

Can has entered the final year of his contract and is yet to reach an agreement over an extension.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has expressed his desire to keep hold of Can and is understood to be still hopeful of convincing the Germany international to sign.

But Juventus have a strong interest in the 23-year-old, who can talk to foreign clubs in January about signing for them.

United look set to be in the market for a midfielder next summer with Michael Carrick and Ander Herrera’s contracts terminating at the end of the season.
