United defence has problems - Keegan

07:24: Former England boss Kevin Keegan has come out in defence of Liverpool’s defence, claiming Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City’s back lines also have problems.

“I don’t think Manchester City, Manchester United or Chelsea are great defensively. It’s not just a Liverpool problem," Keegan said.

“It’s no fun being a defender. If a defender misses three tackles he’s off so it’s no wonder they are cautious.

“Nowadays everything is built for teams to go forward, which is great. Who shows highlights of defending?

“Yes they are conceding goals and they say it’s a bit like my (Newcastle) team, but at Liverpool fans want to see a good game of football and they want the team to have a go."

Mata to be sold for Ozil?

05:30: Jose Mourinho could sell Juan Mata in order to pave the way for Mesut Ozil’s arrival at Manchester United.

“I can’t believe Mourinho actually ever got on with him at Real Madrid, but he was highly thought of,” James Robson told the Manchester Evening News podcast.

“He’s also been very good, but as seasons have gone by, it’s become a thing he’s gone missing.

“For the majority of his time, he’s been one of the few genuinely world-class players around the Premier League.

“If he’s free that changes everything.

“Maybe you could sell Juan Mata.

“I don’t see how you could have Mata, Mkhitaryan and Ozil in the same team.

“He’s sold Mata once before so maybe if he got Ozil, he’d sell him again.

“If he signed Ozil, someone would have to go. Mkhitarayan is in Mourinho’s mind.

“I’m looking at where the gap and if you sell Mata for around £40m, he would make him £40m.”

Arsenal could steal Henderson
