MANCHESTER UNITED expect Phil Jones to be fit for Saturday’s clash with Liverpool, according to reports.
Manchester United's Phil Jones should be fit to play Liverpool
Manchester United star Jones was withdrawn from England’s squad during the international break.
The centre-back was suffering with an ankle injury and the Red Devils kept him back so he could work on recovery.
And United are hopeful the two-week rest has done the job as manager Jose Mourinho prepares for the trip to Anfield.
Jones played a full 90 minutes in the 4-0 win over Crystal Palace last time out, before dropping out of the Three Lions squad.
The 25-year-old still needs to get the nod from United medical staff before starting against Liverpool but that appears to be a formality.

United can move clear at the top of the Premier League table with a win over Liverpool (12.30pm) before current leaders Manchester City host Stoke in the 3pm kick off.
Mourinho is already facing a mini injury crisis, with Marouane Fellaini ruled out of the tie following a knee injury during Belgium duty.
