Former Liverpool defender Phil Babb has made some rogue choices in a combined XI of Liverpool and Manchester United players ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash.

Speaking on Sky Sports News, the 46-year-old showed little faith in Liverpool’s defence and opted for three United defenders – including Chris Smalling who’s only featured twice so far this season.

Andrew Robertson is preferred at left-back over Alberto Moreno, Daley Blind, Luke Shaw and Matteo Darmian, while there is no space for Reds captain Jordan Henderson.

Elsewhere, Babb has gone for a very attacking midfield but omitted Old Trafford star , with the Frenchman left out of an adventurous diamond formation.

Roberto Firmino is also missing, so just who does make the cut in this outrageous side?
