“Now I eat by following the rules,” he told Brazilian outlet UOL Esporte.

“I don’t eat pizzas and barbecue food anymore, despite how much I miss them. I am concentrating on improving my physical performance.

“Whatever the situation with the national team, that is Tite’s decision. I need to concentrate on improving at PSG.

“The season began in a difficult way for me, but my aim is to win back my starting place and the great moments that I had last year.”

Lucas’ comments come after former PSG and Chelsea defender Alex urged him to move to the Premier League, suggesting Arsenal would be a good fit.

“If I was in his place, I would have already left to make an impact elsewhere,” he told French newspaper L’Equipe

“Spanish football could suit him – he could take advantage of the space with his speed and technique.

“Even if England does not seem favourable, I would like to see him at Arsenal. They play cleaner football, more technical.”
