That is according to Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville.

Liverpool were rocked on Tuesday by the news Mane would be out for up to six weeks after sustaining the injury on international duty with Senegal.

The 25-year-old could miss as many as nine matches while on the sidelines, leaving Reds boss Jurgen Klopp with the task of reshuffling his resources.

Philippe Coutinho may now move into Mane’s position on the left wing while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is another option.

But Liverpool’s immediate concern is the visit of Manchester United this weekend.

And Neville reckons Mane’s absence is a significant blow to Liverpool.

“Sadio Mane has become such a force for Liverpool,” he told Sky Sports.

Gary Neville believes Sadio Mane's injury is a big blow

“He's definitely the attacker who offers something different for Liverpool, but they have still got Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho so they do offer a real threat.

“You would have never said before Mane joined he'd be the most pivotal player but you would now say, given what happened during the African Cup of Nations last season, losing him is a big psychological blow.

“However, they do have Salah, who does fill that speed gap and gives them something else, so that ultimately means the loss is less of an issue this time.”
