Liverpool boost as players look sharp in training ahead of Manchester United clash

LIVERPOOL have been stepping up their preparations to face Manchester United this weekend.

Jurgen Klopp’s side host Manchester United at Anfield on Saturday lunchtime (12.30pm).

And the Reds looked sharp in training on Thursday as they continue their preparations for the blockbuster clash.

The likes of Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino were among those who returned to the Reds fold at Melwood after the international break.

Daniel Sturridge, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Jordan Henderson looked to be in high spirits after their time away with England.

While Mohamed Salah looked impressive following his World Cup qualifying heroics with Egypt.

However, the Reds were without Sadio Mane who picked up a hamstring injury while on international duty with Senegal.

Mane is likely to be on the sidelines for up to six weeks.
