Watford fought back from 1-0 down to beat Arsenal 2-1 and move into fourth position in the Premier League.

Troy Deeney cancelled out Per Mertesacker’s first-half header as he converted from the penalty spot after Hector Bellerin brought down Richarlison.

Tom Cleverley then fired the Vicarage Road club into the lead with a strike deep into added time.

And Deeney has revealed his son will not be happy with him for scoring the equaliser because he is an Arsenal fan.

"He's going to hate me,” the Watford striker told BBC Sport.

“It's going to be a long weekend.”

However, Deeney was proud of the win and revealed a “roasting” from manager Marco Silva at half-time was key to then turning the tide.

“Credit to the manager, it was more of a roasting than a team talk at half time,” he added.

“He was telling people to believe in themselves. When we come up against big teams we need to.

“I’m delighted and buzzing for Tom [Cleverley] to get the winner because he’s been our most consistent player this season."

“We’re building something really good. We got a last minute winner at Swansea, a last minute equaliser at West Brom and another late winner here.

“It shows hows we have belief. It’s a massive team effort. A great win."
