Real Madrid vs Tottenham: Phil Neville says Spurs will score in the Champions League clash

That is the view of Sky Sports pundit and former Manchester United defender Phil Neville.

Tottenham and Real Madrid have identical records heading into tonight’s match from their opening two games in Group H.

But a visit to the Spanish capital is surely the toughest test for Pochettino's men.

Neville says Spurs must not be overawed by the occasion and the stadium they are playing in.

I just think Real Madrid will have too much, too much experience and game knowledge for this Tottenham side

He expects them to score but can see Real Madrid coming out on top with a 3-1 win.

“I think when you go to the Bernabeu for the first time, it does blow you away,” Neville told Sky Sports.

“I’ve been there and I’ve done that, where you come up them steps from the dressing room and you see this cauldron that you’re about to play in.

“It’s not just a cauldron, it’s the history of that football club.

“I think Tottenham will find this fixture really difficult.

Real Madrid vs Tottenham: But Neville expects the Champions League holders to have too much

“I think they will go for it, I think they will try and win the game.

“But I just think Real Madrid will have too much, too much experience and game knowledge for this Tottenham side.

“I think this will be a 3-1 victory for Real Madrid but I think Spurs will learn a lot more in this game than any other Champions League game that they’ll play in.”

Danny Rose could make his first appearance for Spurs since January after recovering from his knee injury.
