Arsenal news: PSG ready to snap up Alexis Sanchez in January, Man City won’t bid

ALEXIS SANCHEZ could be set for a move abroad with Paris Saint-Germain reportedly ready to jump at the opportunity to sign him in January with Manchester City not willing to pay for his services.

Alexis Sanchez appears to avoid shaking Wenger's hand

The Chile international looks set to leave the Gunners by the end of the season with no plans to extend his contract at the Emirates.

Manchester City are thought to be leading the race for his signature after making a bid in the summer.

That offer was rejected in the final hours of the transfer window with Arsenal not having enough time to bring in a replacement.

But not agreeing a deal in the summer could prove costly for the Gunners with City offering as much as £50million.

His price-tag will go down in the New Year with potential suitors aware they could sign him for free next summer.

And that’s what City are reportedly prepared to do.

According to El Gol Digital, Pep Guardiola is aware of the risk they face by not making a bid for the 28-year-old but are prepared to wait.

However that will give PSG a free run at signing Sanchez and the report claims the Ligue 1 giants are prepared to offer £26.5million.

And it is claimed Arsenal would rather take the money as opposed to the prospect of losing the former Barcelona forward on a free six months later.

Sanchez joined Arsenal in 2014 and has gone on to become an integral part of Arsene Wenger’s side but has struggled this season to discover his best form.
