Mourinho: United deserve credit after Spurs beat Real Madrid
Tottenham beat Real Madrid 3-1 at Wembley last night, with Dele Alli (2) and Christian Eriksen firing Spurs to a famous Champions League win.
Mauricio Pochettino's side put their La Liga rivals to the sword with a performance brimming with attacking threat.
It came just days after they had been beaten by Manchester United, with Anthony Martial the matchwinner last Saturday.
And Mourinho insists United deserve more credit - particularly given how Tottenham had also thumped Liverpool 4-1 last month.
"They beat Liverpool 4-1 and Real Madrid 3-1 but did not score against Manchester United, so we deserve credit," he said.

Mourinho also refused to comment on how critcism is getting to him.
“I don’t want to comment. Because if I comment I’m going to do a job that’s not my job and sometimes I feel I could or should and sometimes I need to cool down and think I shouldn’t," he said.
“I know that it’s a different way of analysing things for this reason or that reason.
"Similar performances for some clubs are magic are examples of brilliant tactics and amazing attitude by the players and for other teams the same time of performance is seen as negative.
“But honestly just as an example Spurs beat Liverpool and Real Madrid and Tottenham didn’t score against Manchester United so at least a little bit of credit my players deserve.”
