Harry Kane is reportedly a summer target for Real Madrid

Harry Kane emerged as a target for Real Madrid earlier this year following his stunning goalscoring form.

The England striker has already bagged 13 goals in 13 appearances this term and has won back-to-back Premier League Golden Boot awards.

And sportswear giant Adidas are reportedly piling the pressure on Real Madrid to bring in the 24-year-old this summer.

Spanish outlet Don Balon claim the German brand are attempting to lure him away from his sponsorship deal with Nike and feel a move to Real would strengthen their hand.

Real are one of Adidas’ biggest clients and they are attracted by the prospect of bringing him to the Bernabeu.

However, the England striker will not come cheap as he penned a new deal with Tottenham last December, keeping him in north London until June 2022.

And ex-Real Madrid midfielder Steve McManaman is not convinced Kane would be a good acquisition for his former side.

When asked if he would bring the forward to the Bernabeu, he told Spanish outlet Marca: “No, I'd prefer a young player like Mbappe.

“It's very difficult to sign Kane.

“The price of footballers today is crazy. It is better to look in your academy.

"You need to pay €200m (£175m) for Kane and I don't understand those figures."

Kane has made 178 appearances for Tottenham in total, scoring an impressive 112 goals in all competitions.
