Antonio Conte disappointed with 'poor' Chelsea performance

Conte won the Premier League in his maiden season in English football but a slow start to this campaign has seen the pressure on the Italian intensify.

The former Italy and Juventus coach was unhappy with Chelsea’s transfer business in the summer after missing out on a number of key targets including Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

But he opted to sign a new two-year deal at Stamford Bridge to dismiss claims he could exit before the season.

However Chelsea are fourth in the Premier League, already nine points behind leaders Manchester City while their hopes of reaching the Champions League knockout stages suffered a setback when they were beaten 3-0 by Roma on Tuesday.
