STOKE 2-2 LEICESTER

FT: Stoke and Leicester share the spoils after Mark Hughes’s side twice came from behind to draw 2-2.

I’m heading off to bring you coverage of the 3pm fixtures, and you can join me by clicking on this link right here!

94: Corner to Stoke… saved! The Potters almost grab a dramatic winner through Kurt Zouma, who sees his header swatted away by Schmeichel.

91: Stoke look to have shut up shop now as Vardy looks to latch on to a Mahrez ball over the top. Even the England international can’t reach that.

FOUR MINUTES ADDED TIME

89: Disallowed goal! Jamie Vardy finds Mahrez, whose first-time strike is blocked and falls to Iheanacho to covert. Offside.

88: Here comes Saido Berahino! He might not have scored in 50 years but Mark Hughes clearly thinks he’s capable of netting the winner here. Diouf heads off.

87: Some patient build-up play results in Wes Morgan clearing Choupo-Moting’s low cross.

85: No strong chances as the game loses its rhythm. Leicester look happy for the draw, as do Stoke really.

82: Demarai Gray’s afternoon is over. He should have had about seven assists but leaves empty-handed. Marc Albrighton replaces him.

79: Will they be vulnerable? You bet! Iheanacho threads it through for Vardy, who neatly turns before firing wide.

76: Can Stoke kick-on and win this now? They’re certainly piling men forward in search of a third, but will that leave them vulnerable to the break? Blockbuster final stages coming up.

STOKE 2-2 LEICESTER - CROUCH

73: Nobody has scored more Premier League goals with their head than Peter Crouch, and it’s happened again.

Crouch comes off the bench and heads the Potters level from Xherdan Shaqiri's corner. Bullet header from the big man.

72: Kurt Zouma with a rare foray forward. He lashes a knock-down but it’s easily gathered by Schmeichel. Stoke just starting to come alive now. Could be a long 18 minutes for the Foxes.

71: Peter Crouch has now made 142 Premier League appearances as a substitute, a joint-record alongside Shola Ameobi. He replaces Ramadan as Mark Hughes reverts to a 4-4-2.

70: Riyad Mahrez has been involved in as many goals in his last 4 Premier League appearances (4) as he had in his previous 17 games combined.

67: Iborra’s race is run. He’s off injured with King replacing him.

64: Stoke are unhappy with Ndidi’s challenge in the build-up to Mahrez’s goal. I’ve just seen the replay and think it’s a fair challenge. I’d be more concerned with Jack Butland. Should have saved it.

STOKE 1-2 LEICESTER - MAHREZ

61: Spectacular from Riyad Mahrez. 60 seconds after Schmeichel thwarted Shawcross - Leicester are back in front.

Ndidi wins the ball in midfield and Mahrez collects, cuts in from the right, runs it and finds the bottom corner with a clinical finish.

Stoke have to drag themselves back into this again. Won’t be easy.

60: Save! Ryan Shawcross is inches from giving Stoke the lead from a corner, but Schmeichel saves.

58: Shinji Okazaki’s heading off. He’s replaced by Kelechi Iheanacho. This defensive myth about Claude Puel is clearly just that. A myth.

57: The game is really opening up now. Leicester are bossing possession but Shaqiri, Sobhi and Choupo-Moting look dangerous on the break. Really can’t see this staying 1-1 for much longer.

54: No foul? Mahrez is bundled over when preparing to pull the trigger but Jon Moss isn’t interested. The Algerian recovers and swipes an effort narrowly wide of the post.

51: Jamie Vardy’s starting to cause a few problems. He breaks clear and sends a cross in but there’s nobody to meet it. Mahrez then stings Butland’s palms with a strike from distance.

48: Looks like more of the same from both sides. Stoke are happy to allow Leicester more of the ball and break at speed. High risk strategy against this Leicester side, although I think Mark Hughes has learned a lesson or two from Everton’s defeat last weekend.

STOKE 1-1 LEICESTER

45: We’re back underway folks. No changes for either side at the break. I hope there’s no change in entertainment, this has been an excellent watch.

TWITTER ROUND-UP

Nnamdi: Do you agree that Riyad Mahrez isn’t adding anything to the team? I'm very disappointed in his performance. I'd take him off if I was the manager.

Ben: First time I've ever seen a referee get subbed. Jon Moss has clearly had an impact though. Two goals since he came on! That's what you call a super sub!

Aditya: Demarai Gray is a class act.

STOKE 1-1 LEICESTER

HT: And that’s the break. Leicester will be kicking themselves for not adding to their advantage and handing Stoke a lifeline.

Claude Puel’s side have been much the better, but the Potters have shown they’re a threat on the break. This could go either way.

FOUR MINUTES ADDED TIME

43: Xherdan Shaqiri's goal was only the 3rd (of 9 in total) that he's scored inside the box in the Premier League.

42: Lucky boy! Diouf almost skews Mahrez’s cross into his own net, but his blushes are spared as it sails over. Cracking game going on here folks.

STOKE 1-1 LEICESTER - SHAQIRI

39: If you miss chances in the Premier League, you will be punished. Having looked second-best all afternoon, Stoke have levelled through Xherdan Shaqiri.

Shaqiri collects Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting's through ball and rifles home the leveller with a very composed finish.

The Foxes have been dished some of their own medicine with that counter-attack.

38: Not sure how Leicester aren’t two-goals ahead. Gray is the architect again and sends a wonderful flat cross to Iborra, but his header was wayward.

35: Close! Mahrez breaks away but Zouma manages to make a last-ditch tackle to stop the Algeria international from squaring it to Jamie Vardy.

Gray then crosses for Okazaki, whose stooping header is acrobatically tipped over by Jack Butland.

STOKE 0-1 LEICESTER - IBORRA

33: Vicente Iborra latches onto Harry Maguire's header down and fires in the opener for the travelling Foxes.

That puts Stoke in the very awkward position of having to press and attack, which plays to Leicester’s strengths.

32: You’d have to say Choupo-Moting’s had the best chance of the match. Just seen a replay and he really should have done better after beating Maguire.

29: Darren Fletcher is helping Zouma with marking Gray. They’re doubling up every time. Wise decision boys. There’s a rare break for Stoke with Choupo-Moting one-on-one with Maguire. The forward manages to get a shot away but it’s comfortable for Schmeichel.

26: 'You're not fit to referee' rings out from the terraces! Harsh lads, harsh. looks like Mr Madley will revert to fourth official.

25: There’s any early substitution… it’s the referee!

Poor Bobby Madley has picked up a calf injury and there’s a three-minute delay as Jon Moss gets his boots on and swaps cards.

23: Get him in the England squad! Demarai Gray is bossing things here. He blazes down the left flank before cleverly chipping it to the back post where Okazaki narrowly pokes it wide. Wonderful ingenuity.

21: Ouch! Gray becomes the filling in a Diouf/Zouma sandwich and wins a free-kick just outside the Stoke penalty area. This is dangerous.

Mahrez steps up… straight into the wall. Waste.

18: Bit sloppy from Iborra to lose possession in midfield, but fortunately for him, Shaqiri drags it wide from outside the penalty area.

15: Close! Demarai Gray rinses Zouma on the left flank and his cutback is inches from finding Vardy for a tap-in. Wimmer does just enough to get his body in front.

12: Shaqiri has the chance to whip a free-kick into the danger zone but he’s got it horribly wrong and it trickles out for a throw-in.

9: The Foxes look to have deployed a 4-2-3-1 with Gray and Mahrez either side of Okazaki in the midfield three. Jamie Vardy shows his pace for the first time and wins a corner, which is promptly cleared.

6: Wow, some beautiful triangles from Leicester inside their own half. Kevin Wimmer clearly doesn’t appreciate the passing game and ploughs through the back of Okazaki.

3: Stoke look happy to allow Leicester to dictate possession in the early stages. I notice Claude Puel has gone for suit/tracksuit today. Not sure it’s going to catch on myself.

STOKE 0-0 LEICESTER

1: After a perfectly observed minute’s silence, we’re underway.

TWO-MINUTE WARNING

12:28: The players have emerged from the tunnel. Amazingly, a couple of military personnel are holding a case with the football used at the battle of the somme inside. Incredible.

TUNEEEEE

12:20: You don’t often hear a military band playing "Uptown Funk" folks, but that’s exactly what’s happening at Stoke.

If they’re taking requests I’d love the theme from "Back to the Future" please…

TWITTER ROUND-UP

Mark: This may come back to haunt me, but I have a good feeling we will win 3-1 today! Come on Leicester!

James: After seeing the starting 11's I'm confident of a win today. Going 1-2 Leicester with Ndidi banging in the winner from 30 yards.

Martyn: I like that Hughes has shown faith in the team from last week but it’s a big game for Choupo today, needs a goal or two!

ADAM WANTS TO STAY

12:10: Charlie Adam would be happy to extend his five-year stay at the Premier League club as long as he gets regular first-team playing time.

The 31-year-old was left on the bench for eight league games this season before making a two-minute cameo in last Saturday's 1-0 win at Watford. The Scot also played in the club's two League Cup games earlier this season.

"I love it here and I want to stay but I want to be playing as well so we will have to wait and see. The manager (Mark Hughes) has said that I would have to wait for an injury or a suspension before I get an opportunity," Adam told Sky Sports.

"I try and work hard, I don't cause any problems, I enjoy it there and the manager knows that when called on he could rely on me. But it all comes down to the club and what they want to do."

He’ll have to settle for a place on the bench today.

WHAT’S ON?

12:05: People online don’t seem too optimistic about today’s set of fixtures. There’s six altogether.

Liverpool are the only top-six side in action. They play West Ham at the London Stadium later this evening.

Before that, the fixtures looks something like this: Huddersfield vs West Brom, Newcastle vs Bournemouth, Southampton vs Burnley, Swansea vs Brighton.

Express Sport will bring you all the acton as it happens. So don’t go anywhere!

HUGHES > GUARDIOLA

12:00: Stoke have named an unchanged starting XI in the Premier League for the first time in 23 matches (since February 26). Sparky’s clearly been taking lessons from Pep Guardiola.

TWITTER ROUND-UP

Owen: After showing Burnley vs Newcastle on Monday, you do have to wonder what the f*** Sky Sports are doing showing this game.

Jen: Abandoned my run this morning so have decided to watch Stoke vs Leicester in my running stuff. Every little helps eh?

Tommy: Looks like Claude Puel has reverted to 4-4-2. Glad Gray has kept his place, industry and energy from Shinji will be required.

Love your style Jen.

VARDY PARTY

11:50: Jamie Vardy has scored in three of his last four Premier League appearances against Stoke. And I’m certain he’s going to score today, because I took him out of my Fantasy Football side…

GRAY DAY

11:45: Winger Demarai Gray signed a new four-year contract at Leicester on Thursday.

Gray scored his first Premier League goal for over a year in Sunday's 2-0 win over Everton, and was named in the England Under-21 squad a few days later.

He told LCFC TV: "I'm very happy. Now I just want to kick on and keep doing what I'm doing. I want to be starting games and, for me to be doing that, I have to work hard in training.

"As a whole, we're a good group and we have a good dressing room. Now I want to get my head down and keep kicking on for the team. For me personally, it's now about developing as a player and the rest will take care of itself."

ATTENTION

11:40: The Band of the Queen's Division are currently performing outside the Bet365 Stadium folks. It’s all part of Stoke’s Military Matchday to pay respect to those who have sacrificed their lives in combat.

Top gesture, but these cannons are a little unnerving.

TEAM NEWS

11:35: This shouldn’t take long.

Stoke are unchanged from their 1-0 win over Watford on Saturday.

Leicester make one change. Shinji Okazaki comes in for Ben Chilwell.

So that’s a forward replacing a left-back. I thought Claude Puel was supposed to be a defensive manager?!

STOKE vs LEICESTER - TEAM NEWS

MORNING

11:20: Welcome to our LIVE coverage of Stoke vs Leicester from the Bet365 Stadium.

Claude Puel, who recently replaced Craig Shakespeare as manager, led the Foxes to a comfortable 2-0 win over Everton last Sunday.

But can he do it on a cold, wet afternoon in Stoke? Not if Mark Hughes has anything to do with it.

The Potters boss, fresh from last week’s win over Watford, is eager for his side to kick-on and record back-to-back victories for the first time since 1733…

Let’s get going!
