Jose Mourinho insists Chelsea have enough experience to cope with the pressure

Manchester United visited Chelsea this afternoon going into the game off the back of a 2-0 win over Benfica in the Champions League.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have suffered a difficult few weeks, recording a draw and a 3-0 defeat to Roma in Europe.

Reports suggest things aren't all rosy off the field either with Antonio Conte under pressure from the Chelsea board to improve performances.

Owner Roman Abramovich has even visited the Cobham training ground to watch the Italian in action coaching his players.

We had matches to play and to get results and we managed to get that so I don't think Chelsea is at all affected by that defeat in Rome.

But Jose Mourinho, who spent two spells with the Blues, believes Chelsea, and Conte, are able to cope with the pressure that comes with being successful at a big club.

On speculation suggesting there is unrest behind the scenes at Chelsea and on their struggles, Mourinho said: "This is what happens in big clubs when you have one bad result.

"The dimension is always big but people that work in big clubs, the players, coaches - they are used to it.

"They know how to react and how to cope with the pressure and that's what we did when we lost against Huddersfield.

"We had matches to play and to get results and we managed to get that so I don't think Chelsea is at all affected by that defeat in Rome.

"I think they come with maximum potential to try to have the result they want."
