Lorenzo Pellegrini has been a standout player for Roma this season, settling quickly at the Stadio Olimpico following his summer move from Sassuolo.

And the 21-year-old is said to be attracting the attention of Europe’s top clubs already.

Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb claim Manchester United, Chelsea and French giants Paris Saint-Germain are all keeping tabs on the midfielder.

And the Premier League duo have reportedly been encouraged by Pellegrini’s affordable £22million release clause.

The Italy international penned a five-year deal with Roma this summer after the Serie A side triggered his £9m buy-back clause from Sassuolo.

And Pellegrini admitted at the time he was delighted to return to his boyhood club after two years away.

“It is an incredible feeling to come back,” he said.

“This was my objective from the moment I went to Sassuolo. It is the culmination of a great two-year journey with them.”

And Roma’s sporting director Monchi was equally happy from Pellegrini’s return and predicted big things for him this season.

“We are proud to be able to bring Lorenzo home,” he said.

“Over the last two years Lorenzo has gained valuable experience with Sassuolo and we are sure he will contribute to the growth and improvement of this team.”

He has made 13 appearances for Roma this term in all competitions, providing three assists.
