Gareth Southgate has left Jamie Vardy out of the England squad to face Slovenia and Lithuania in the final two World Cup qualifiers.
It is reported that the Foxes hitman, who has scored five times in six Premier League outings this season, may have been omitted due to a hip injury.
Southgate has entrusted both Daniel Sturridge and Jermain Defoe, who have two goals between them this season, to vie for places with the in-form Harry Kane and Marcus Rashford up top.

Meanwhile there is a recall to the national squad for Manchester City midfielder Fabian Delph.
The City star, who has just 223 minutes of football under his belt this term, last played for the Three Lions in the 2-0 defeat by Spain in November 2015.
However, his wonder-strike against Crystal Palace last weekend will have done his chances of selection no harm at all.
Meanwhile the England boss has handed a recall to Manchester City midfielder Fabian Delph

Dele Alli has also been included in the squad, although it is still uncertain as to whether the playmaker will miss the games.
The Tottenham midfielder's FIFA hearing for his controversial one-fingered gesture takes place on Thursday and could result in the England star being handed an international ban.
'We run the risk of looking a shambles because he could get withdrawn again,' England manager Southgate said.
'The hope is that common sense prevails.'
