Tony Adams returns to Arsenal as former club captain coaches Under 18 side

  • Adams joins Thierry Henry and Freddie Ljungberg as club legends returning to coach in the academy 

Arsenal legend Tony Adams is back at the north London club.

The former Gunners captain has started coaching at the club's Hale End academy – primarily working with the Under 18s.

It remains to be seen whether he'll join the club in a full-time capacity - but he has been taking sessions with Arsenal's best youngsters from last Wednesday.

Adams is latest former Gunner to join the coaching team; Thierry Henry and Freddie Ljungberg have worked with the academy in recent years.

One-club-man Adams is still revered by Gunners fans following his heroic career with the north London giants.

Indeed, there is a statue of Adams located outside the Emirates Stadium in honour of his glowing service to the club.
