Bastian Schweinsteiger celebrates Easter with his wife Ana Ivanovic after netting second goal for Chicago Fire

Everything seems to be going right for Bastian Schweinsteiger at the moment.

After finally securing a move away from his troubled spell at Manchester United, the World Cup winner has enjoyed a resurgence in form with his new club Chicago Fire.

The 32-year-old former Germany international netted his second goal in three games since joining the MLS side in a 3-0 win over New England Revolution on Sunday.

Schweinsteiger celebrated his strike with his wife, former French Open champion Ana Ivanovic, as they enjoyed a meal at a restaurant on Monday night.

The former Bayern Munich midfielder took to social media to post a picture of the pair, alongside the caption: 'Happy Easter! Had a great dinner with my beautiful wife.'

Both Schweinsteiger and Ivanovic appear to be settling well into their new life in the United States.

Schweinsteiger and Chicago Fire travel to Canada on Saturday to take on Toronto FC.

Chicago can move top of the MLS table if they beat last season's runner-ups and Colombus Crew and Orlando City both fail to win.
