Juventus are bringing a full-strength squad to face Tottenham for their first visit to the new Wembley on Saturday.

Gianluigi Buffon, ahead of his final season with the Champions League runners-up, is expected to start in goal while £60million-rated left-back Alex Sandro will be under scrutiny from Chelsea scouts who are still keen to sign him for the Stamford Bridge club.

Buffon, now 39, could be making his final appearance in London and Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has hailed his opposite number as one of the game's greats.

'There is something special and it’s difficult to describe it, but he’s a player who can inspire those around him,' said Lloris.

'When I was younger I was completely a fan. He’s the kind of player who can inspire you and when I was 15, 16, that kind of player and Iker Casillas as well, they both started so young and that was an inspiration for me. I wanted to start young as well and that’s what I did.

'After 16 seasons (at Juve) he shows he has the same ambition and motivation as in the past. To stay at the top at that age means you have to work harder than others and that’s why he’s the best. In terms of longevity, it’s amazing what he’s done.'

Christian Eriksen is looking forward to testing himself against Juve's midfield.

'They have had a number of different players and have changed coaches, but they have always managed to keep a certain stability and we can learn from it, because we are also on the right path in terms of stability,' the Dane said.

'Juventus have always been a top club. They had some bad years in the last decade but they bounced back and they are very strong again.

'It’s a good chance for us to test ourselves in the environment where we’ll be playing Champions League matches.'

Tottenham midfielder Victor Wanyama was similarly looking forward to facing Juventus but is a doubt owing to a leg injury picked up on their US tour.

Danny Rose, Heung-Min Son and Erik Lamela are also still ruled out.

Tottenham have handed a new contract to Josh Onomah, tying him to the club until 2021, and have allowed him to join Aston Villa on loan.

The 20-year-old midfielder played for England at the U20 World Cup and is keen to play more regularly. Celtic, Huddersfield Town, Brighton and Burnley had all asked for the talented youngster but were turned down.

Meanwhile, Tottenham are not pursuing Schalke striker Max Meyer.
