Crystal Palace are weighing up a move for PSV Eindhoven goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet as Newcastle threaten their bid to sign Adrian from West Ham.

Palace had hoped the 30-year-old would be keen to stay in London but the prospect of linking up with Rafa Benitez appeals.

Zoet is a 26-year-old Holland international and has figured in the Champions League with PSV, where he has two years left on contract.

Manager Frank de Boer knows him well and is keen to bolster his options after allowing Steve Mandanda to join Marseille.

De Boer is also hopeful of beating Watford to the loan signing of Timothy Fosu-Mensah from Manchester United if Jose Mourinho allows the 19-year-old to go.
