The arrivals of Romelu Lukaku, Alvaro Morata and Alexandre Lacazette may have stolen the headlines but there have been plenty more big signings this summer. 

Premier League new-boys Brighton and Huddersfield and the returning Newcastle are among the teams to have splashed the cash in a bid to strengthen their ranks. 

Ahead of the new top-flight season, which kicks off this Friday night, Sportsmail lists signings outside the big six to look out for this campaign.

BRIGHTON — Mathew Ryan (Valencia, £6m)

The Seagulls, preparing for their first season in the Premier League, parted with £6million to bring in goalkeeper Ryan from Valencia.

The 25-year-old, who has 35 caps for Australia, agreed a five-year deal and will replace David Stockdale, who left the Amex Stadium to join Birmingham.

Ryan was once linked with Liverpool and will be tasked with helping Chris Hughton's side avoid an immediate return to the Championship. 

He was the club's record signing at the time of his arrival, but that was smashed again when Davy Propper signed this week in a deal which could rise to £10m.

BRIGHTON —Davy Propper (PSV, £10m)

They broke their club transfer record again to sign Propper from PSV Eindhoven in a deal which could rise to £10m.

The Holland midfielder signed a four-year contract after a medical with the Premier League club on Monday.

Propper joins the likes of Markus Suttne, Pascal Gross, Mathias Normann and Izzy Brown as new signings on the south coast this summer.

The 25-year-old joined PSV from Vitesse Arnhem in 2015, and featured in the team that won the 2015-16 Eredivisie title.

BURNLEY — Jack Cork (Swansea, £8m) 

Sean Dyche has added four new players to his squad this summer, one of which is former Chelsea youngster Jack Cork. 

Cork — who has previously enjoyed two loan spells with the Clarets — arrived at Turf Moor from Swansea in an £8m deal.

The deal could increase to £10m should the central midfielder trigger additional clauses.

CRYSTAL PALACE — Jairo Riedewald (Ajax, £8m)

Despite narrowly avoiding relegation last season, the Eagles haven't been as busy as expected in the window so far. 

However, they have bolstered their defensive ranks with the £8m signing of Riedewald from Ajax — one of two new arrivals at Selhurst Park this summer.

The 20-year-old defender has been reunited with Eagles boss Frank de Boer who gave him his first-team debut at Ajax in 2013.

HUDDERSFIELD — Steve Mounie (Montpellier, £11.5m)

The Terriers broke their transfer record for the second time in the space of a week last month to sign Mounie from Montpellier.

The Benin international forward penned a four-year contact with the Premier League new boys for a fee in the region of £11.5m.

Huddersfield previously smashed their club record on June 30, when Aaron Mooy arrived from Manchester City for £10m.

LEICESTER CITY — Vicente Iborra (Sevilla, £15m)

Leicester City made defensive midfielder Iborra their second summer signing after agreeing a deal with Sevilla.

The Foxes put their faith in the 29-year-old Spaniard by giving him a four-year deal and paying out a transfer fee of around £15m.

Iborra, who stands at 6ft 3in, had spent four years with Sevilla and played both legs against Leicester in their Champions League last-16 clash last season.

NEWCASTLE — Florian Lejeune (Eibar, £8.7m) 

Newcastle manager boss Rafa Benitez finally landed his man when Lejeune joined in an £8.7m deal from Eibar.

The 26-year-old centre back had been on Benitez's radar since he joined Villarreal in 2011.

He made a move to bring the Frenchman to St James' Park at the end of last season and the deal was completed at the beginning of last month.

SOUTHAMPTON — Jan Bednarek (Lech Poznan, £5.7m)

Southampton signed Poland Under 21 international Bednarek from Lech Poznan in a deal worth £5.7m — their first summer arrival.

The Saints saw off interest from German sides Hannover and Freiburg to secure the 21-year-old centre back's signature.

Bednarek represented his country in the Under-21 European Championship and was sent off against England in their group-stage meeting.

SOUTHAMPTON — Mario Lemina (Juventus, £18m) 

The Saints' second signing in this transfer window saw them break their club record, with Lemina arriving from Juventus in an £18m move.

Juventus confirmed in a statement on their official website the deal was worth €17m (£15.6m), which could increase by a further €3m (£2.77m).

The 23-year-old, who won Serie A twice with Juve, has agreed a five-year deal — and decided on St Mary's despite being wanted by Stoke City and West Ham.

SWANSEA — Roque Mesa (Las Palmas, £11m) 

With the departure of Cork to Burnley, Swansea City bolstered their midfield ranks by signing Las Palmas midfielder Mesa for £11m.

The 28-year-old put pen to paper on a four-year deal at the Liberty Stadium.

Mesa, who spent seven years at Las Palmas, is now the third most expensive player in Swansea's history, behind only Wilfried Bony and last season's £15m signing Borja Baston.

WATFORD — Will Hughes (Derby, £8m)

England U21 international midfielder Will Hughes moved to the Premier League this summer to join Watford from Derby County.

Hughes signed a five-year deal at Vicarage Road, having long been linked with a few top-flight teams.

Hughes came through the youth ranks at Pride Park and made his debut as a 16-year-old in 2011. Though still only 22, Hughes has made 187 senior club appearances, scoring 12 goals.

WATFORD — Richarlison (Fluminense, £11.2m)

Watford pulled off a coup with the £11.2m signing of exciting Brazilian forward Richarlison on a five-year deal.

Chelsea had also made enquiries for the highly-rated 20-year-old from Fluminense while Ajax had previously agreed personal terms on a four-year contract.

Richarlison is a pacy forward who can play on the wing and cuts inside, scoring 10 goals in 21 league games last season.

Chelsea looked to have stolen a march on Ajax last month but Watford stepped in and the Brazil U20 international opted for Vicarage Road.

WEST BROM — Jay Rodriguez (Southampton, £12m) 

West Brom completed the £12m signing of Rodriguez from Southampton on a four-year deal.

The forward, who has been capped once by England, scored 35 goals in an injury-affected five-year spell on the south coast.

Rodriguez, 28, moves to the Black Country in search of more first-team football and becomes the Baggies' joint-second most expensive player in their history.
