Diego Costa says he has spoken to Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho this summer, who wished him 'good luck' as he stays away from Chelsea.
Costa was told by a text from Blues boss Antonio Conte he is not needed at the club, and has since refused to return for training.
He insists Conte did not raise the issue with him after the 2-1 FA Cup final defeat by Arsenal, but that he has also been contacted by his former Chelsea boss Mourinho.

Costa exclusively told Sportsmail: 'Jose has called me, direct to my phone, just to check I am OK and to see how I am. He wished me good luck.
'I never had any problems with Jose, we have a strong relationship. Everyone was very sad when things didn't work out in the end for him at Chelsea.'
It was Mourinho who brought Costa to Chelsea in 2014, and the striker helped the Blues win two Premier League titles.
