As we reach the conclusion of the second weekend of the Premier League season, most of Europe's big clubs will be looking to respond, react, and most importantly, recruit to strengthen their squads.

Clubs have until August 31 to get their deals signed, sealed and delivered, but for many it is not as straight-forward as that.

Paris Saint-Germain are currently by far the biggest spenders in the window after they smashed the world-record fee in acquiring Neymar from Barcelona for £198million, but with the deadline fast approaching, what other transfers can we expect to be done.

Barcelona issue Coutinho ultimatum

Barcelona have threatened to scrap their pursuit of Philippe Coutinho after Liverpool failed to reply to an ultimatum on Sunday night.

Liverpool dismissed Barcelona's last bid of £113million. Barca then issued a 7pm deadline for Sunday night for their bid to be accepted or it would be withdrawn.

Liverpool were happy to let that pass without reply.
