Holland coach Dick Advocaat has recalled veteran striker Robin van Persie for crucial World Cup qualifiers against France and Bulgaria.
Fenerbahce forward Van Persie played the last of his 101 internationals in October 2015. The 34-year-old former Arsenal and Manchester United star is his country's all-time top scorer with 50 goals.
The Dutch need him to start finding the net again. After six matches, the Netherlands are third in Group A, three points behind Sweden, who lead the group on goal difference from France. Only the winner is guaranteed a place at next year's World Cup in Russia.

There is no place in the international set-up again for Liverpool target Virgil van Dijk, who hasn't featured for Southampton this season after angling for a move.
In a twist to the tale Wesley Hoedt, Southampton's latest signing and expected replacement for Van Dijk, takes place in the defensive line-up for the Oranje.
Hoedt signed for the Saints from Lazio this week on a five-year deal, with a fee in the region of £15million changing hands.
Holland will play France on Thursday in Saint-Denis before returning to Amsterdam to take on Bulgaria on September 3.
