Danny Welbeck's black eye, Alexis Sanchez down in the dumps and Aaron Ramsey forgot he was in a football match... Five things you missed from Liverpool vs Arsenal
- Liverpool easily brushed Arsenal aside with a 4-0 victory at Anfield on Sunday
- The Reds wore Owen McVeigh Foundation T-shirts during their warm-up
- Danny Welbeck soldiered on to play the full game despite sustaining a black eye
- Aaron Ramsey had his back to play when Liverpool won possession to score
- Alexis Sanchez looked fed up after being substituted as Arsenal were thrashed
Liverpool were magnificent. Arsenal were not.
It could easily have been more. But 4-0 is embarrassing enough for Arsene Wenger's side and it certainly was no more than they deserved.
Goals from Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Daniel Sturridge ensured an emphatic victory for Liverpool.
And here are five things you might have missed from Anfield.
Liverpool tore Arsenal apart at Anfield to seal a thoroughly deserved 4-0 triumph on Sunday
Liverpool's warm-up T-shirts
Liverpool players were seen wearing Owen McVeigh Foundation T-shirts during their warm-up on Sunday before they took on Arsenal.
The club's official training kit partner, BetVictor, offered to donate their rights for the match to the Foundation to help raise awareness in a high-profile game.
The charity aims to raise funds to help and enrich the lives of children who are ill with cancer and their families in the Merseyside area after Owen McVeigh, an avid Reds fan, was diagnosed with leukaemia and tragically died at the age of 11 in December 2015.
The main logo on the shirt commemorates the life of McVeigh, who attended Anfield regularly, and the flag bearing his name has become a poignant focal point for all their home matches.

Welbeck's swollen black eye
Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck sustained a nasty bruise to his eye almost instantly after a clash with a Liverpool defender.
The 26-year-old's eye appeared to be closing shut, which is never helpful for a striker who is scrutinised for not being clinical enough.
Despite this, Arsene Wenger opted against substituting the forward and left him on for the whole duration of the game.

Ramsey didn't realise there was a game going on
Aaron Ramsey was facing away from play when Petr Cech's throw out led to Liverpool's first goal.
Sky Sports' highlights showed Ramsey with his back to play when the goalkeeper rolled out and play resumed.
The midfielder was trying to converse with a team-mate while the game continued behind him.
The 26-year-old suddenly realised play had continued when Liverpool regained possession, but by the time he started to chase back Joe Gomez had already crossed the ball and Firmino glanced in the header to open the scoring.

Even when Liverpool won the ball back (which led to the opener) he still had his back to play
Sanchez down in the dumps
A dejected and glum-looking Alexis Sanchez hung his head and took his seat after being substituted off after just an hour of play.
This is not the first time the Chile international has looked fed up in an Arsenal shirt and it certainly won't fill Gunners' fans with much hope that he will still be at the Emirates come the end of the transfer window.
Wenger had delivered some encouraging news on Saturday after stating the 28-year-old 'loves the club' amid Manchester City interest.
But it appears an embarrassing 4-0 defeat at Anfield could be the final nail in the coffin as Arsenal continue their disappointing start to the season.

He could at least appear to afford a wry smile during a terrible afternoon for the Gunners
But generally his expression was as gloomy as everyone else of an Arsenal persuasion
Arsenal's Anfield nightmare
Arsenal have lost in the Premier League by a margin of 4+goals eight times.
Four of those losses have come against Liverpool at Anfield. It really is quite an extraordinary record to have.
There's just something about the Kop that makes the Gunners fire blanks.
They have lost to Liverpool 4-0 at Anfield three times and lost 5-1 in the 2014-15 season.
Arsenal fans will certainly be relieved to see the back of Anfield and will pray they avoid drawing an away tie against Liverpool in any of the cup competitions.
