He was earlier pictured leaving Celtic Park after completing his medical.
SIMON JONES: Chelsea are ready to keep hold of left-back Baba Rahman.
The 23-year-old Ghana international was poised to join Schalke on loan again but Chelsea have opted against it as they don't want to rush his recovery from knee ligament damage.
Rahman, who cost Chelsea £22million from Augsburg in 2015, injured his anterior cruciate ligament in the Africa Cup of Nations against Uganda, though is close to full fitness.
However, Antonio Conte, with few wing-back options left, has decided to ease him back into action at Chelsea with the club's Under-23 squad and evaluate his progress.
SIMON JONES: Newcastle United have asked about Udinese goalkeeper Orestis Karnezis.
The 32-year-old is available but like most of Newcastle's targets, Udinese want to sell rather than loan.
Rafa Benitez is willing to offload Tim Krul and Karl Darlow to help fund a goalkeeper signing. The England international is expected to undergo parts of his medical at St George's Park ahead of a proposed £35million switch.
Liverpool held an interest also but are pursuing a bid for Monaco's Thomas Lemar.
The England international held crunch talks with the Gunners last week but rejected a final contract offer worth £180,000-a-week and made his intentions to leave clear.
As well as doing a deal to sign Naby Keita next season, Liverpool remain keen to land Thomas Lemar this summer.
But the Reds, who had offered up to £74m for the 21-year-old, could face late competition from Chelsea and Arsenal.
If you're not sure why Lemar is valued so highly, watch this...
Atletico Madrid stars are still hoping to see Chelsea striker Diego Costa return to the club before Thursday's transfer deadline.
That's according to Atletico midfielder Koke.

This is, without doubt, the biggest piece of transfer news today.

Tottenham are likely to confirm the signing Juan Foyth today.
The 19-year-old will join from Estudiantes.

When Rose Googles Foyth, this is the first photo he will see...
It's not just players who could be on the move.
SAMI MOKBEL claims that Frank de Boer is facing a losing battle to keep his job as Crystal Palace manager.
There is a growing feeling behind the scenes at Selhurst Park that the Dutchman will leave the club sooner rather than later after a disastrous start to their Premier League campaign.
The international break would present the club with an appropriate opportunity to part with De Boer.
Gary Neville claimed on Sunday that the entire Arsenal team deserve to be put on the transfer list.
With that in mind, Sportsmail's MATT SMITH has done a thorough assessment of the Gunners squad.

De Jong, 28, will sign a three-year contract this afternoon.
Inter Milan are keen on Tottenham misfit Moussa Sissoko.
The 28-year-old also has interest from Trabzonspor, with both clubs keen to take him on loan.
Sissoko has featured in all three of Tottenham's games this season, but the club could still let him leave.
Rafa Benitez will miss out on the signing of Stevan Jovetic for the second time when he joins Monaco.
The Newcastle boss was hoping to complete a deal for the Inter Milan forward in the coming days.
But he is now on the verge of a £10m move to last season’s Champions League semi-finalists, who will lose striker Kylian Mbappe to PSG this week.
Reports in France claim Liverpool have offered £66.5million for Monaco winger Thomas Lemar plus a further £7.4m in add-ons.
Liverpool made enquiries about 21-year-old Lemar early in the summer, while Arsenal had a bid rejected.
France coach Didier Deschamps has insisted he does not want any of his players leaving international camp to conduct transfer business.
Lemar is due at Clairefontaine today.
Zinedine Zidane has backed Gareth Bale to succeed at Real Madrid after he was booed by sections of the Bernabeu crowd on Sunday night.
Bale has been the subject of transfer speculation this summer, and some supporters lashed out at the Welshman during Real's 2-2 La Liga draw with Valencia.
Reports in Spain claim that Manchester United have tabled a £92million bid for the forward, but coach Zinedine Zidane insists he still has a future at the Spanish giants.
West Brom have rejected a £23m offer from Leicester City for captain Jonny Evans. The 29-year-old also remains a target for Arsenal and Manchester City.
Albion want at least £30m for Evans who has a hamstring injury at the moment.
Leicester had a £12m bid rejected earlier in the summer.
Chelsea had a 2-0 win over Everton to celebrate on Sunday but Antonio Conte was not fully contented.
After the match, he practically begged the Chelsea board for more signings.
He said: 'I'm a coach, not a manager. I think the best of my work is on the pitch, then when you want to strengthen your squad, you have to give your opinion, then the club goes into the transfer market to try and sort the situation. To try and help us.'
One of Sunday's big talking points (before Arsenal's awfulness took centre stage) was Jurgen Klopp's decision to 'rest' Simon Mignolet.
The Belgian stopper was left out of the Reds squad at Anfield, leading many to think that Klopp might consider replacing him in the transfer market.
But Klopp has insisted that Mignolet remains his fist choice and that he is happy with him.
'Intensity for a goalkeeper is different,' said Klopp. 'It is not physical. It is mental. We said before the season we wanted to have three really strong ones. Simon is a clear number one.
'He won the race in pre-season. You can always rely on him. He is solid – a machine; 100 per cent he plays against City.'
Another player pencilled in for a medical today is Tottenham defender Kevin Wimmer, who is heading to Stoke.
Spurs have accepted a £15m offer from the Potters.
Wimmer is likely to be replaced at Spurs by 19-year-old Argentine Juan Foyth.
