West Ham hand Slaven Bilic a reprieve after miserable start to following Marbella meeting with club bigwigs
- Slaven Bilic has endured a torrid start to the new Premier League season
- He has met with West Ham co-owner David Sullivan to discuss results
- Bilic will get the chance to turn things around at the London Stadium
Slaven Bilic will be given the chance to revive West Ham's fortunes following positive meetings with the club's hierarchy.
After three consecutive defeats to start the Premier League campaign, the latest coming at Newcastle on Saturday, Bilic was aware that his position was perilous given the abject nature of West Ham's performances.
He met David Sullivan, West Ham's owner, in Marbella on Sunday night and saw him again on Monday and the positive outcome was that Bilic would not become the first manager to lose his job this season.

Bilic is aware, though, that the need for improvement is immediate and should the malaise continue into autumn, Sullivan would have no alternative but to make a change.
There is sympathy for Bilic at the club, given that West Ham have had to play their first three games away from home after the Olympic Stadium was used to host the Athletics World Championships and is not ready for football.
At the same time, though, sympathy is not endless as Bilic was given £40million this summer to recruit Marko Arnautovic, Javier Hernandez and Pablo Zabaleta.
It means the sequence of fixtures after the international break – which includes games against Huddersfield, Tottenham and Swansea – have become crucial for the Croatian.
In the meantime Bilic is looking to bolster his squad before the deadline but the move for Sporting Lisbon's William Carvalho is over; West Ham had offered £25m but would not meet Lisbon's £30m demand.
Bilic's side have lost each of their three matches in the Premier League so far this term
