Liverpool have made a revised bid of £74million — plus Divock Origi on loan — for Monaco forward Thomas Lemar.
The French champions had rejected Liverpool's bid on Monday night as they push to maximise the 21-year-old's price.
The deal is understood to be £46m up front with a further £28m next summer.
Liverpool are not backing down in their pursuit of signing Monaco forward Thomas Lemar
Monaco have also made a £27million move for Lazio forward Keita Balde.
The 22-year-old has been tracked by West Ham, Juventus and Inter Milan but is heading to Monte Carlo for a medical on Tuesday evening and is seen as a likely replacement for Liverpool target Lemar.
Monaco have already signed Stevan Jovetic, and the Montenegro international was spotted modelling the No 10 shirt on Monday, the squad number due to be worn by Kylian Mbappe this season.
Divock Origi would be allowed to join the Ligue 1 champions on loan for this season
