The Reds have rejected three big-money offers from Barcelona this summer, the latest coming in at an enormous £114million.
Jurgen Klopp and owner Fenway Sports Group were adamant the 25-year-old would not be sold this summer as they prepare for their return to the Champions League.

And according to the Brazilian newspaper Estadao, Neymar - who sealed a world-record £198m move to PSG from Barca earlier this summer - has warned Coutinho against a move to the Catalan giants.
The paper claims: 'Neymar said to Coutinho in a chat that he won't regret Liverpool's decision to keep him away from Barcelona.'
Barca completed the £96m signing of Ousmane Dembele over the weekend and sporting director Robert Fernandez has hinted they are ready to spend more before the window closes on Thursday.
He told Sportsmail on Monday: 'We are negotiating with a player with the possibility that he can arrive. We hope it ends well. We hope to be able to present a new player,' he said.
'One could arrive or two could arrive. We are negotiating. My intention is that another player arrives and if possible two.'
Coutinho has yet to feature for Liverpool this season amid interest from Barcelona
