Las Palmas hope to secure a permanent deal for Loic Remy as the unwanted striker nears a Chelsea exit at last.

Remy has been surplus to requirements all summer and was even available for a loan at this late stage but La Liga’s Las Palmas want a permanent move after agreeing terms with the 30-year-old.

Chelsea are set to be as busy with outgoings as potential incomings on deadline day, with their loan system going into overdrive. Brazilian forward Nathan is heading for newly-promoted Ligue 1 side Amiens.

The 30-year-old France international spent last season on loan at Crystal Palace but only figured in eight games.

Remy was included in Antonio Conte's 25-man travelling party for their pre-season tour of China and Singapore but has been left out of Chelsea's matchday squads for their opening two Premier League games of the season.

He joined the club from Queens Park Rangers in September 2014 after Chelsea activated a £10.5million release clause in his contract.
