Arsenal slap £28m asking price on defender Calum Chambers following interest from Leicester City
- Arsenal have put a price tag of £28million upon Calum Chambers
- Chambers is yet to establish himself and spent last season away on loan
- Leciester have shown interest, with Wes Morgan and Robert Huth in mid thirties
Arsenal will demand £28million for defender Calum Chambers on deadline day, following interest in the player from Leicester City.
As a sign of the ever inflating market the Gunners have put the hefty fee upon the head of the 22-year-old, who enjoyed a strong season on loan at Middlesbrough last year.
Chambers signed for Arsenal in a £16m deal in the summer of 2014 from Southampton but has failed to establish himself as a regular at the Emirates since.

Leicester have been showing interest in the youngster, as their search to find replacements for Wes Morgan and Robert Huth continues.
Morgan and Huth were integral parts of the club's incredible title heroics of the 2015-16 campaign, but are both in their mid-thirties.

After adding Harry Maguire to their defensive ranks the Foxes were serious about bringing Chambers to the King Power, but have been put off by Arsenal's tough stance.
They are now unlikely to go back in for the player after receiving the response from the Gunners, and will turn their attention to other alternatives.
In their pursuit for defenders this summer Leicester have also been unsuccessful in bringing West Brom's Jonny Evans and Middlesbrough's Ben Gibson to the club.
