Gianluigi Buffon insists Keylor Navas is a 'great goalkeeper' and believes Real Madrid do not need to sign a new number one.
Navas recently helped Madrid win back-to-back Champions League titles after they beat Buffon's Juventus side in the final at the end of last season in Cardiff.
However, despite Madrid's success with Navas between the posts, Zinedine Zidane's side were once again linked with a shot-stopper during the summer window.

Manchester United's David de Gea had been heavily linked with a move to the Bernabeu again this summer after Madrid saw a deadline day bid for the Spaniard collapse in 2015 because the paperwork was not submitted on time.
Meanwhile the highly talented Gianluigi Donnarumma was connected with a transfer before signing a new deal with Milan.
But Buffon claims that the La Liga outfit do not need to bring a new goalkeeper in, insisting that Navas played an 'important role' in Madrid winning their two most recent Champions League titles.
Juventus shot-stopper Buffon doesn't feel that Madrid need to sign a new goalkeeper
Buffon said: 'Real Madrid haven't lacked anything over the past 10 years, as they have bought the best footballers.
'Keylor Navas is a great goalkeeper, despite what some say.
'They have won two Champions Leagues with him and he has often been important on the way to winning them.
'I don't believe there is a need to sign, as the results have shown that they are winning as it is.'
